It was another cold weekend in the Northern reaches of the United States but the activity at the Ultimate Builder Custom Bikes Show this past weekend was hot and heavy. The Minneapolis based show featured some of the best builders on the circuit.
A standout at this show was Jason Bockniack with his Hi-PO 2006 Harley Deluxe. This bike has been in 4 Ultimate Builder shows this year and has come away with over $9,000 in gifts and prize money.
This bike gives off that MAC DADDY Bling thing. Named “The Phoenix” it rocks it with a 50 Spoke Fat Daddy Wheel, Chrome, beach bars and Avon Gangster White Wall. The engine features a Pro-Charger, D&D Boarzilla Exhaust and a Harley-Davidson 103ci engine.

The radical differences from one creation to the next has enabled Finch to avoid the kind of “trademark style” that has emerged with many famous builders over a long career. Perhaps only one feature seems to be repeated again and again in his work, and this is the absence of a conventional fuel tank.
